Madras Coffee House

One fine day a travel to be made, a surprise to be fulfilled. A heart filling moment to be shared with people full of love and a celebration to be cheered forever to be bonded in love. After five years visiting Chennai for the very first time to make some nice and beautiful memories with dear ones.

Early morning at 4.00 am, winter days, waking up to an alarm that you never expected to be heard so loud due to the winter silence. At amma’s house, it’s an everyday morning dosage of happiness with the freshly grounded coffee powder aroma and suprabatam. At your own place you say Alexa play morning Suprabatam by MS. Subalakshmi Amma. A sip you definitely urge for a cup of strong filter coffee being a pakka tamizh ponnu gets fulfilled. But, the two hours and forty-five minutes of journey with chitter-chatter of the crowd in the early morning flight was definitely tiresome.

When you ask for coffee, you get hot-water brewed in the black concoction, my heart wrenching to the voices and my tongue twisting with a bitter taste bud. Wait, thanks to the add-on headache with the climate difference between north to south. As soon I heard “crew prepare for arrival” that smile on my face was pretty evident with all 32 teeth peeping out and the excitement like a child going to grab a nice candy for herself, duh! Its Chennai.

The moment I landed rushed to take a cold plush and splash of water to my face to rub all the tiredness away. As soon as I stepped out my first search was for the aroma of freshly brewed filter coffee typical me (wink). My nose searched for its best smelling agent (hehe), and finally the scrumptious MADRAS COFFEE from the beautiful MADRAS COFFEE HOUSE by a lovely AKKA (elder sister).

A seamless effort they take to serve the best, strong, creamy coffee freshly brewed for every traveller and every human who visit their shop. The coffee prepared exactly to my best preferred choice, whilst the taste buds grooving to the tunes of violin strings, the authentic tumbler coffee served with such a beautiful smile brightened my morning minutes with full of positive energy. More than the cup of strong filter coffee the added essence of concern, yet again won my heart and filled with oneness which I will always miss in North.

This journey will forever be continued with this coffee lover from another coffee story.
